Given the importance of mass media in forming consumer attitudes, exploring main trends discourse on sustainability is great interest to businesses, policymakers and researchers. This study investigates sustainable consumption major national newspapers four European countries (Germany, Italy, Norway Romania), using food as specific topic. It provides a comprehensive analysis issues reported related concept from longitudinal comparative perspective identifies dimensions examined that are associated with different countries. adds understanding how has developed Europe over time highlights factors have influenced development this concept.
